EXTRA TRACE MINERALS

Boron (3.25 mg):

A mineral that is currently considered non-essential, but it has a lot of research to argue it should be essential. It might have beneficial effects on brain function, cholesterol levels, hormone levels, reproduction, development, bone formation, and cardiovascular system. Here are a couple studies that have demonstrated Boron has some of these beneficial effects:

Lithium (1 mg):

A mineral that is currently considered non-essential, but it has a lot of research to argue it should be essential. It might have beneficial effects on brain function, mood, and inflammation. Here are a couple research articles that have demonstrated Lithium has some of these beneficial effects:

  • RDA is recommended at 1 mg because of low lithium intakes being associated with increased rates of suicides, homicides, and arrests
  • https://instituteofmineralresearch.org/lithium-
  • RDA should be 1-20 mg because of its ability to up-regulate neurotrophins such as brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and nerve-growth factor (NGF). It also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity alongside powerful neuroprotective effects

Silicon (10 mg):

A naturally occurring mineral that is not essential to consume, but it does provide some benefits if it is consumed. Here are a couple studies that have been done on Silicon:

Shilajit (250 mg Fulvic Acid):

A sticky substance that develops over centuries from the slow decomposition of plants. It has 40-80 naturally occurring minerals in it. These along with its unique antioxidant Fulvic Acid can lead to beneficial effects on the cardiovascular system. We even included a little extra Fulvic Acid than what has been shown to be effective in this study:

Aquamin F® (500 mg):

An algae that naturally contains 72 different minerals. This all-natural ingredient gives you a wide range of minerals that you likely do not consume in your regular diet. Calcium makes up 32% of its weight, and Magnesium makes up 2.2% of its weight. It has even been shown that your body uses calcium more effectively from Aquamin F® than from the typical form of Calcium:

Chelated Minerals:

If you look at the minerals on our label, then you will notice there are some specific words that come after them. Those words are either “as Amino Acid Chelate” or “as Glycinate”. This signifies that are our minerals are chelated. Is this a big deal? Yes it is! A chelated mineral is one that is bound to an amino acid. This means it is in a form the body can easily absorb and use, unlike regular forms that minerals come in. Here is a study that demonstrates this:

Bioperine® (10 mg):

A black pepper extract that is 95% piperine. Piperine is the alkaloid that gives black pepper its somewhat famous ability to enhance the absorption of nutrients. It does this by inhibiting glucuronide. Glucuronide normally causes substances to be excreted instead of being absorbed. By inhibiting glucuronide, more nutrients are absorbed. It is very effective at increasing the absorption and bioavailability of vitamins. We even included a little extra than what has been shown to be effective in this study to be confident all the different vitamins are being maximally absorbed:
